Chairman of the Lobby for Holocaust Survivors, MK Eliezer Stern, mourned the passing of Elie Wiesel: "I had the merit of knowing him personally. The conversations between us always focused on the connection between the Holocaust and recovery there from, as well as the challenges we face inside Israel and among Diaspora Jewry. Elie was the true mouthpiece for human values, combining Judaism with the Jewish people over history, especially the Holocaust.
